Calculus I (MATH 141), Calculus II (MATH 142), and Vector Calculus (MATH 241) each with a grade of C or better (in at most two attempts).
Algorithmic Design I (CSCE 145).
One of the following sequences:
Probability (STAT 511 )=(MATH 511) and Mathematical Statistics (STAT 512)
Either Statistics for Engineers (STAT 509) or Statistical Methods I (STAT 515 )and either Statistical Methods II (STAT 516) or Algorithmic Design II (CSCE 146).
These courses fulfill the Group II requirements listed in the General Education Requirements.
Students who receive a C or lower in any of MATH 141,142, 241, or in their first 500-level MATH course are encouraged to take Transition to Advanced Mathematics (MATH 300) prior to taking additional core mathematics courses.
All majors are encouraged to take the 1-hour seminar course, Introduction to Careers and Research in the Mathematical Sciences (MATH 198), as early as possible.
